Elope in Asheville at Vance Birthplace

When you elope in Asheville, spring can be a bit of a gamble.  On one hand, you have the beautiful awakening of nature after an oftentimes harsh mountain winter.  The leaves are just peeking out of the branches, flowers are in full bloom, and the new bed of grass is oh so soft for those liking to be barefoot in their wedding dress (this is common!).

The bad part about spring is that weather and temperatures can swing wildly.  We had snow two days before Jenny and Thomas’s scheduled wedding date.  It was cold and rainy on either side of the snow day.  They got married on a Thursday, and I spent all week watching the weather like a hawk.

When you elope in Asheville, with the mountains all around affecting our weather in every direction, you can have rain one minute and blue, clear skies the next.  Though the rain backups we always have are still quite nice, nothing beats having the sun shining on your face as you say, “I do!”

Jenny and Thomas had a lovely spring day and an even lovelier wedding with some family and friends watching.
